Olney Theatre Center<\/strong> continues its tradition of big holiday musicals with Hello, Dolly!<\/em><\/strong><\/a> in the Roberts Mainstage (November 6 – January 4)<\/strong>. Two-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Nova Y. Payton<\/strong> stars as the meddling matchmaker Dolly Levi in a production directed by Kevin S. McAllister<\/strong>, choreographed by Eamon Foley<\/strong>, and music direction by Christopher Youstra<\/strong>. Tickets are available to the public from $27 – $112 and can be purchased at olneytheatre.org\/hellodolly<\/a> or by calling the box office at 301-924-3400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To accommodate family audiences, the regular curtain times for this productionwill be adjusted to 7:00 pm for evening performances and 1:00 pm for matinees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Says Olney Theatre\u2019s Senior Associate<\/strong> Artistic Director Hallie Gordon<\/strong>, \u201c<\/strong>Hello, Dolly!<\/em> is a true classic of American musical theater that everyone should experience. Director Kevin McAllister, Music Director Chris Youstra, and Choreographer Eamon Foley are creating a vibrant production that honors the timeless story. While the show evokes a \u2018simpler\u2019 time when women were often relegated to being wives and homemakers, Dolly is a force of nature \u2014 she’s out of this world. In the end, she gets exactly what she wants, spreading love and wealth as she goes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition to Payton, Broadway veteran Moses Villarama<\/strong> (Here Lies Love<\/em>) makes his Olney Theatre debut as the irascible bachelor (and \u201chalf-millionaire”) Horace Vandergelder, whom Dolly marks for marriage. Michael Perrie Jr.<\/strong> (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical<\/em>) and Rick DeVon Hall<\/strong> (Disney\u2019s Frozen<\/em>) star as Cornelius and Barnaby, Horace\u2019s clerks, headed for an adventure in the city. Caitlin Brooke<\/strong> (Ford\u2019s Theatre\u2019s Sister Act<\/em>) and Alex De Bard<\/strong> (Disney\u2019s Frozen<\/em>) play hat shop owner Irene Molloy and her assistant Minnie Fay. Wood Van Meter<\/strong> (Waitress<\/em>) plays Ambrose Kemper, who seeks Dolly\u2019s help wooing Horace\u2019s niece Ermengarde, played by Anna Maria C. Ferrari<\/strong>. Montel B. Butler<\/strong> (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical<\/em>) plays Rudolph the ma\u00eetre d’, and Karen Vincent<\/strong> (World Goes Round<\/em>) handles the role of the eccentric Ernestina Money, as well as serving as the understudy for Dolly. Rounding out the ensemble are Eve Dillingham<\/strong>, Ciara Hargrove<\/strong>, Delaney Jackson<\/strong>, Alyssa Enita Stanford<\/strong>, Taryn Smithson<\/strong>, Ava Wilson<\/strong>, Quadry Brown<\/strong>, Patrick Leonardo Casimir<\/strong>, Matthew Millin<\/strong>, Robert Mintz<\/strong>, Nico Nazal<\/strong>, and Eli Schulman<\/strong>. Emmy J. Lane<\/strong> and James B. Mernin<\/strong> swing for the 9-week-long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining McAllister, Foley, and Youstra on the creative team are Riw Rakkulchon<\/strong> (Scenic Designer), Paris Francesca and Julie Cray-Leong<\/strong> (Co-Costume Designers), Rueben D. Echoles<\/strong> (Wig Designer), Christina Watanabe<\/strong> (Lighting Designer), and Matthew Rowe<\/strong> (Sound Designer). Ben Walsh<\/strong> is the Production Stage Manager, with Assistant Stage Managers Fior Tat<\/strong> and Kate Kilbane<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello, Dolly!<\/a><\/em><\/strong> runs November 6, 2025 – January 4, 2026<\/strong> in the Roberts Mainstage at Olney Theatre Center, 2001 Olney-Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD 20832. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday matinees at 1:00 pm, and select Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm.
