Directed by Washington National Opera Artistic Director<strong>\u00a0Francesca Zambello<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Porgy and Bess<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Turandot<\/em>,\u00a0<em>West Side Story<\/em>) and choreographed by\u00a0<strong>Joshua Bergasse<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Smash<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Bull Durham<\/em>),\u00a0<em>Guys and Dolls\u00a0<\/em>plays STC\u2019s Harman Hall December 2 through January 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York just got busted, and Nathan Detroit needs cold, hard cash to get it up and running again. Enter high-roller Sky Masterson, who Nathan wagers can\u2019t get a date with the straightlaced Sarah Brown, a Salvation Army missionary trying to save them all from sin. Dance the night away to \u201cLuck Be a Lady,\u201d \u201cSit Down, You\u2019re Rockin\u2019 the Boat,\u201d \u201cA Bushel and a Peck,\u201d and more classic tunes in the must-see show of the holiday season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously announced, a lineup of Broadway and musical theater talent headlines the cast. In the role of the mannered and conservative Sarah Brown is&nbsp;<strong>Julie Benko,&nbsp;<\/strong>most recently from an acclaimed run in the Broadway production of&nbsp;<em>Funny Girl&nbsp;<\/em>(named&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>&nbsp;2022 Breakout Star in Theatre), and Barry Manilow\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Harmony<\/em>.&nbsp;<strong>Jacob Dickey&nbsp;<\/strong>(<em>Old Friends&nbsp;<\/em>with Bernadette Peters,&nbsp;<em>Aladdin, Company<\/em>) will play opposite her as the suave gambler Sky Masterson. Playing the noncommittal Nathan Detroit will be&nbsp;<strong>Rob Colletti&nbsp;<\/strong>(<em>Almost Famous,&nbsp;<\/em>original Dewey Finn in the<em>&nbsp;School of Rock&nbsp;<\/em>National Tour), and as his on-again, off-again girlfriend Adelaide is&nbsp;<strong>Hayley Podschun,&nbsp;<\/strong>whose Broadway credits include&nbsp;<em>Wicked<\/em>&nbsp;(Glinda, National Tour);&nbsp;<em>Hello, Dolly!<\/em>;&nbsp;<em>Something Rotten!<\/em>; and more.
