A star-studded gala at the Kennedy Center Opera House Sunday night, December 8, celebrated the five recipients of the 47th Kennedy Center Honors. Hosted by 2023 honoree and award-winning musician, actor, and producer Queen Latifah, the ceremony honored director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola; legendary American rock band The Grateful Dead (Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, the late Phil Lesh, and Bobby Weir); blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt; jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer Arturo Sandoval; and The Apollo, which received a special Honor as an iconic American institution.<\/p>\n

The 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors will be broadcast Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 8:30-11:00 p.m., ET\/PT on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).*<\/p>\n
